Who is In?

Awareness Intensive

A direct encounter with who you are, beyond the story of “me”

Days of Immersion
100,000+ Lives Touched by this Process
60+ Years of Living Lineage
Limited Places Available

What if you stopped trying to be someone… even for a few days?

An invitation to return to what’s real, awake, alive, and deeply here.

Nothing to take. No one to follow. No belief to adopt, no story that something about you needs fixing.

Just a way of meeting what is here, underneath all the trying.

The Awareness Intensive is a field of honest attention, a container for direct self inquiry using an ancient dyadic process rooted in Zen.

Over the past 40 years, 100,000+ people around the world have entered this process and found something they were not expecting: themselves.

A Deceptively Simple

Structure

Two people sit facing each other. One gives the instruction: Tell me who is in? The other turns inward, notices what arises, and speaks from direct experience. The listener does not respond, advise, or interpret. They offer steady presence. Then the bell rings, and the roles switch.

1. The Dyad — Two Mirrors, One Question

Exchange becomes a mirror.

The steady cadence of the gong moves the group through cycles of speaking and listening.

Within this held container, distractions naturally fade.

What has been unacknowledged begins to surface, not to be analyzed or fixed, but to be met, felt, and allowed to move.

2. Silence Holds the Field

Outside the dyads, silence holds the container through meals, through rest, through the long hours when the question keeps working underneath.

Distractions fade. What has been unacknowledged begins to surface.

3. Active Meditations Serve the Inquiry

Movement is woven in to support the body and help energy move so that stillness can deepen on its own.

It is not separate entertainment. It serves the looking.

4. A Lived, Not Conceptual Practice

The inquiry is not solved by the mind. It is entered.

The point is not to find a better idea of who you are, but to look directly, past explanation, past performance and notice what is here before the mind names it.

Is This For You?

You Are Holding It Together

But underneath, you are exhausted.

Exhausted of carrying people who will not carry themselves. Exhausted of watching the life you have earned happen somewhere just out of reach, never quite the one you are living. Exhausted of improving yourself in one more book, one more training, one more conversation. Forever.

You understand yourself better than almost anyone. And some days you wish you understood less, because all that insight gave you wings, and then it built you a cage. You have spent years against the bars, worn out, while keeping a steady face for everyone who looks to you to lead.

Here is what no one says out loud. The effort is working. That is the problem. It holds everything in place, including the distance between you and your own life.

What you actually want is simple. To come home with something left for the people you love. To be playful again. To end the day at peace with yourself, not performing a peace you do not feel.

In the quiet, you already know. This is not it.

“You are longing for truth, not as an idea, but as direct experience.”

“You are tired of avoiding life and ready to taste its raw sweetness again.”

“You are ready to stop seeking and simply be here.”

No prior meditation or self inquiry experience is required. What matters most is a sincere willingness to meet yourself directly and to stay present with whatever arises.

Echoes from the Retreat

What Participants Have Found

“I was able to feel how a space opened within me where there is peace and calm, a place completely disconnected from stories, from problems, from my personality. What is real within me has always been there, is here now, and will remain.”

— Nury

“It allowed me to recognize parts of myself that were deeply hidden, and to be seen and welcomed exactly as I am. I had profound realizations about my true nature that will stay with me and have a meaningful impact on my life.”

— Olivia

“After 16 years of searching, the Who Is In meant the end of the search. A felt sense of wholeness I can't unsee, one that has rewired my mind and my body. My relationship with myself and the people I love has evolved. There's a joy and a realness now, and a deep, natural steadiness that lets me return quickly from any storm.”

A Fellow Traveler

Your Facilitator

A path of inquiry, presence, and slow unlearning.

Naran has moved through many gateways over the years: meditation, self inquiry, somatic and relational practice, breathwork, and guided experiences with sacred plant medicines. Each revealed a different face of the same thing — that awareness itself is the ground.

Rather than following a single lineage, this approach has come through direct experience, where contemplative tradition and modern modalities meet. What began as a search for freedom became a steady practice of unlearning.

Not a teacher. A fellow traveler. One who continues to look.
